To support our growth, Duke & Grace is looking for an extra team member to monitor, set up & support our internal infrastructure (software and hardware). As an IT engineer you are the man/woman that our people can turn to for internal support as well as help us setting up systems and networks.
You graduated in an IT field or have built up a good knowledge base by self study. Furthermore you're fluent in Dutch (and English).
You’re a good all-rounder who loves to help people and looks forward to doing so from our office in Ghent.
Bonus points if you have mastered the basics of programming and you already have a first experience with servers, network infrastructure, telecom, etc.
You dare to give your opinion and formulate proposals for improvement.
You can make a trade-off between urgent and important. Setting priorities is no problem for you.
You’re an independent worker who likes to work with a great team.
curious & self-reliant. You like to learn and if you don't know something, Google is your best friend.
What your future may hold
a varied range of tasks:
helping our new Dukes & Graces on their way by informing them on the basics of our operations. You have a way with both advanced and less advanced users.
support the team with general computer problems and take on structural work.
setting up, maintaining and monitoring internal systems, infrastructure and network. (e.g. telephony, routers, hardware, internal servers, private cloud and all VMs on it, ...).
provide both daily support in our multitech environment (Windows and Mac OS X) as well as keep everything up to date server side (Mac OX, Windows, Linux).
growth. We’re not looking for the perfect person. Bonus points if your technical /serverside skills are already at advanced level but if they’re not, let us help you get them there.
a challenge. While our senior profiles are working on their projects (e.g. automation and a thorough reflection on security) they mentor you and help you spot thousands of other optimization points that you eagerly dive into.
