Creative Director

Hi, we’re Duke & Grace. Born from the dot com boom and grown to a full service communication agency. We operate at the heart of creativity, strategy and technology, providing impactful solutions for brands and people. We’re currently looking for a Creative Director to coach our creative team in this exciting field.


About you

  • You are a passionated and seasoned creative filled with positive energy, a unique voice, and a can-do spirit. We don’t like jerks or huge egos, regardless of how talented you are (so you like working with people and people like working with you).
  • You have a track record of excellence and leadership experience in the world of branding, campaign development and/or content creation. ‘Herding’ a creative team excites you, but staying close to the work is equally as energizing.
  • You want to build a positive and upbeat working culture, together with a young team, but set high standards of output through coaching rather than directing.
  • You are a compelling presenter and communicate effectively, whether that’s with your most junior team member or the CEO of a Belgian hero. In other words: you speak the creative ànd management language.
  • You have a keenly developed sense of aesthetics, knowledge of how concepts can live or die in execution, and a strong understanding of culture and emerging technologies. Oh, ànd not forget, a healthy allergy to marketing jargon and industry bullshit.

What you'll do

  • You will herd (read: lead, inspire and motivate) a multi-disciplinary team of creatives and strategists in creating best-in-class brand experiences, campaigns & content;
  • Maintain personal relationships with team members and set out actionable growth plans for professional development;
  • Work closely together with Martijn, our Design Director, to decide team resources across projects based on individual skill sets, availabilities, and business opportunities;

  • Help pitch on new business and help deepen our relationships with existing clients;
  • Act as a key partner of our management to help build a culture that goes hard for creative excellence and business health;
  • Work together with other leads (our way of saying ‘head of…’) to integrate any expertise and research findings into the creative process. Resulting in truly integrated work;
  • Have an outward-facing presence in the industry (and company) to attract new talent and clients;
  • Together with Design Director and Digital Product Lead, you will shape our internal innovation hub, Studio V

About the team

The Creative Studio consists of 6 creatives ranging from copywriters, creative strategists and art directors; and 8 designers, with motion, graphic and digital design skills.

You will work closely together with Martijn, our Design Director, to help manage the Creative Studio, coach the team members and create mouth watering(integrated) work. He will be the Goose to your Maverick.

The Creative Studio is a young team, packed with talent and a lot of experience, gathered in just a few years. We’ve already worked for A-brands like: Alpro, Ray-Ban itsme,... and we are still fire balling for brands like: Netflix, Infrabel, NRJ and SOS Kinderdorpen.

We’re a multidisciplinary team with experience in brandings, (inter)national campaign development, social content, digital experiences, activations and employer branding.

Your track record

You have 7-10 years creative experience across a combination of agency, studio, and/or production companies, with 4+ years of experience as CD.

You’ve helped to build and grow a creative team, resulting in an upbeat working environment and mesmerizing work.
